What is Microdermabrasion?
The Jade Cosmetic Clinic uses a medical grade microdermabrasion system that is considered by health professionals to be the

Microdermabrasion is sometimes called the "lunch time peel" it is a non-invasive and effective treatment. A mild, virtually
painless procedure that can take as little as half an hour to perform. During the treatment, a steady, powerful stream of
delicate diamond crystals are delivered to the skin using a fine "sandblaster". This showers or blasts the face with sterile
micro-particles to abrade or rub off the very top skin layer, the particles and dermabraded skin are then vacuumed off.
In most cases, a minimum of five initial treatment visits, seven to 10 days apart, are required.

changes or skin discolouration, and improve acne and acne scarring. The technique is especially beneficial when performed as an
adjunctive therapy to accelerate or maintain other skin renewal treatments such as Photorejuvenation, Retin-A therapy or Deep
Dermal Treatments. The treatment may also be used on the chest, neck, arms and hands with virtually no complications.
What can I expect after Microdermabrasion?
Patient satisfaction with microdermabrasion has been consistently and overwhelmingly positive. Several sessions are needed to
see optimal results, however after just one session the skin will feel smoother and cleaner. Ongoing maintenance sessions will
